Fashion Night's Out Outfit Planning... Part 1

On the Eve of Fashion's Night Out.. I must begin the stressful job of picking out my most fashion forward, most epic outfit to date.. This needs to be good!

I must begin the search through my closet. I think Mixing Prints might be theme for the evening though.. Its my fave fall trend this far. Nothing says statement like almost looking like you don't match.. People need to understand something things "Just Go", matching not required.

I am going to make you go on my Pinterest! The picture is from LC's Blog: September Trends addition (so sneaky... I know.. and its a work in progress, so make sure you follow.. I promise it will get better!)

Stay tuned for the FNO Outfit ideas..

Meet my Favorite "Child"

Meet (one of) my top favorite statement pieces of all time..

I am a Kate Spade junky. I love any and all things that woman makes. If I could, I would buy everything from her website (my bedroom set and china from my wedding are from Kate Spade, but I digress).

Early this year, I found this wonderful bag in an ad in a magazine. I died. I needed to have it. It came in a variety of colors, including hot pink, white, black, & CORAL. Now, I have a fabulous white bag & 2 fabulous black bags. I needed something that would be the ultimate spring and summer bag!

However, sometimes spending a nice junk of change on a bright CORAL bag vs. a black or white one, can seem a little unwise. BUT YOU NEED TO IGNORE THIS! Hot pink or Coral were the only options!

So after using my 20% Zappos coupon I received from taking a tour of their wonderful headquarters, I was the proud owner of this happy baby!

My Fiance even told me, "That bag is violent!"
Me: "You mean vibrant."
Fiance: "No, that s@#$" is bright, I meant violent!"

However, without fail, I get stopped a minimum of 2 times every time I take it out. Men and women both stop me and compliment and ask me where did I get it, who made it, etc.

And I happily continue on my way giving myself an inner high-5!

Moral of the Story: if you own your staple bags in: Brown, Black, and White the CORAL IS THE ONLY OPTION!

(Outfits with my baby will be coming soon!)

No more long posts after this.. PROMISE!

I have been playing around with accessories, shoes, clothes, fabrics, etc since I was little.

I would say fashion runs deep in my blood. I have one grandmother who made and designed wedding dresses in Cuba and the other was a Fashionista of her time and had a seamstress to make her designs.

Being that I spend most of my childhood at their houses, my love for fashion only seemed natural. My mom since I can remember gave me full creative direction of my wardrobe. So there were a lot of rainbow stacked socks with millions of rubber bracelets and legging shorts with a skirt over and a shirt tied to the side with a scrunchie (it was the late 80's and early 90's, no judging!).

Fast forward 20 years and many fashion shining moments and mistakes that would have ended me up on the "DON'T" list, I would like to think I know a little something about putting things together.

My friends (who are all amazing fabulous) tell me all the time "I wish I can wear that, but that's only something you can pull off".. (Disclaimer: I am a size 8, its not that I can wear clothes they can't.. all of my friends wear 0's, 2's, and 4's)

I think its because you need a extra something in your step to pull of a big statement piece.. You need to be ready for the attention!

Always think to yourself, ok I have the staples/basics, now how can I make myself more fabulous!!

Like Dr. Seuss says, "Why fit in when you were born to standout?"
